Didn't need the internet back then. Had the good old toll free Nintendo Power hotline. I remember many a night dialing my fingers raw with the rotary phone trying to get through so that I could ask a question. I used that hotline a lot, especially with Simon's Quest.

(S)NES rules.
I got my original NES at the start of the summer holiday.
Some days I just got up at 6 and played until 9 in the evening.
I had the infamous 'Nintendo thumb'

I just got Street Fighter Alpha II.. IMO the BEST Street Fighter game on SNES!
