Thanked: 21Did you ever bow hunt rabbit?
during that experience, the rabbit wasn't moving, but from the time of release until contact, the rabbit moved just enough to miss the kill zone that first shot. The second should have killed it, and I don't know why it didn't. I was a good shot at the time, could hit a quarter at 40 yards more often than not. My thinking is that the rabbit's kill zone is the size of a dime.

Thanked: 983Yes, both rabbit and goat hunting with a bow. Beer was only ever involved at the completion of the days hunt.

I hunted rabbits in North Carolina when I was young, using my grandfather's Steven's Savage .410 ga, handed down to me. I had my Beagle with me; sometimes we would get one. Most of the time I just froze my ass off in the woods.
