Thanked: 5Any handrolled cigarette smokers?
So anyone else roll their own cigarettes? If so what kind of tobacco/papers do you use? Any of you use filters or just smoke them unfiltered? My personal favorite is anything from Peter Stokebye. I usually smoke their Amsterdam Shag blend, sometimes I'll mix it with stockholm blend. As for papers I usually use zig zag 1/4" sometimes the white packs.

Back when I smoked I tried several times to hand roll my own. I gave up when I realized I couldn't roll anything that didn't end up looking like a joint.

Thanked: 5Lol I know what you mean. A friend of mine used to have me roll some for him. I would intentionally roll them to look like joints so whenever a cop drove by him as he was lighting up he'd either get really funny looks or actually get stopped. We both got a pretty big kick out of it.

Rolling papers are immaterial in my opinion, but I used to love Drum Halfzware Shag. I still dream of smoking it, such a tasty tobacco.

Thanked: 101Used to smoke Drum. Rolled with machine and by hand. Tried other tobaccos, but nothing ever smoked like Drum. They stopped importing into the US for a while because of tobacco lawsuits. When they came back to the states it wasn't the same.

I also used to smoke hand rolled Drum on occasion in the 80's, couldn't find any other tobacco with the same flavour.....do they still sell it here I wonder?

I used to hand roll when it's was like 60% cheaper than buying regular cigs here in Norway. And Drum was one of my favorite brands for sure

Thanked: 5What was Drum's profile? The Amsterdam Shag I smoke is a really fiery/smokey blend. Very full bodied. It's incredibly smooth though. There's no harshness at all to it unless you let the stuff dry out after a month of sitting open.

Thanked: 0Smoked Buglers for many years. When I did, early 2000s, a 40 pack was 89 cents US. Usually I could get more than 40 out of it. Now its up to 6 dollars US. Still cheaper than the other stuff, but 6 bucks! Still, I occasionally buy a pack or keep one in the house for the infrequent smoke alone.
