S&W 360 Airweight. I'm not an ankle carry guy but I would say it would need to be an airweight or some such like an LCP/LCR. I personally love the 360 but it is a stout shooter with a lot of bark/recoil with the .357. Even 38+P has a good recoil. I agree with getting the .357 so it allows you the ability to be flexible in what you shoot out of it.
Be aware that with the .357 if you need it in a self defense role and you miss the flame thrower will still get him!!

I live in California. BUT, the California I live in is not the CA that probably 98% of the rest of the World thinks it is. I am surrounded by farmland, miles and beautiful miles of it. I'm also light years away from the thought of CA, you know, the LA crowd, the bleeding hearts, who, unfortunitly, also control the vote and therefore, the lame brain laws we have to live with. But, all that being said, I'm DAMN PROUD to live in Butte County after seeing this. (see below) So, Please, rest of the USA, don't judge Californians by the morons you see on TV. If you want to meet the REAL people, once you get an hour North of San Francisco, you're OK. There's one helluva lot of Nor-Cal up here that anyone, from any friendly place, North, South or East in America; would feel comfortable and at ease.

    Later Y'all!! DonV

I've been to California numerous times, mainly training related. My first time in 1979, military leave; my last time 2003.

I really like the place, most of my trips were to the big cities, L.A. 4 times. I always have a great time in California.

I just can't afford & don't really want to live there.

I CCW and generally carry a micro-desert eagle in a .380. Haven't had any issues so far.

Just a reminder Gents... The current rules were written specifically (1/16/13) to include these threads in the Finer Things forum. let's keep these threads to the subject at hand, Guns, how we carry them, and what we feed them

To all the members of SRP,

The Admins and Mods have had many lengthy discussions, with input from many of the Mentors and Members by PM. We have decided that due to the highly emotional state of the discussions regarding Gun Control, and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, now is not the time for any more of these discussions in the Conversation Forum on SRP.

This rule will apply to discussion of gun control, it will not apply to the threads that are strictly about firearms in the Finer Things forum, Hunting Threads, etc. Please keep in mind that any posts that attempt to disrupt or de-rail those threads will be regarded as Trolling by the Mod team whether for or against the Gun Control issue.

Please let's respect each others opinions, but let's leave those discussions to other places on the Internet, rather then SRP for the time being.

I CC a Ruger P95 daily. I dont get too many people telling my Im stupid for carrying such a big firearm, however, I do have them tell me Im stupid for not carrying hollow points.

Does anyone else use standard ball ammo for CC?

To conceal the P95, I design my own holsters and make them specific to my style of carrying, my carry position, my cant, everything. By doing that, I've concealed everything from a Glock 22 to a full size 1911 to the Ruger tank in nothing more then shorts and a polo shirt. It also helps that I have a very strange build. I'm broader through the chest and shoulders than I am in the waist and stomach, so my shirts tend to naturally hang away from my body in the area where my holster rides.

OT: Small world! Joshua isnt a bad place to be. Its quiet and no one really messes with you. People are friendly, police are laid back, its not far from the metroplex, but its far enough outside of it to give some peace from the hustle and bustle of big city living (if thats what you are looking for). But I've grown up in Johnson county, as bad as I hate this place at times, I've grown to love it. Where are you potentially relocating from?
