    God I hate the carry laws in MD. I carried for years, now all my guns just sit at home unless it's to the range or for cleaning.

    yep, MD and DC are among the worst. That's where I came from and occasionally travel back to. There are a million ways to get in trouble in MD and DC with a handgun and ammo that would be legal in most other states, including NC and Virginia.

    It was funny coming back from Afghanistan. Spent most of the year with a 9mm and 40 rnds strapped to my hip - one day it's legal, the next (when I got back to MD) I could go to jail for it. Stupidity. Like I somehow forgot how to manage a weapon from one day to the next.

    Gentlemen, we don't want this thread to go off the topic of Show & Tell, as to what we are carrying. Just to refresh your memory below is the sticky in the convo forum regarding what is allowed, and what is not allowed in discussing firearms. I'd hate to see this thread closed over the digression. Thanks in advance for your understanding;

    Zemke,
    I found a guy in Texas who can round the butt of the ultra sized (I now call them shirt eaters) kimbers to a round butt for about $200, pm me if interested. Makes it less profile and of course easier on the clothes. I just traded off my ultra the other day, but my carry 1911 has a smooth behind...Super Carry Pro

    I have trouble deciding. Custom Caspain Recon .45 1911, DW Valor or VBOB in .45, DW ECO in 9mm, S&W 686+ 3" are my main choices. Waiting on a new cylinder for my S&W 327PC snubby and the holster for that one.

    Add Kahr and the Sig P238 to that list of 'shirt eaters'. I stopped worrying about it and wear the 'holy' shirts anyway. Not sure if the G-27 is also a shirt eater cause the damage had already been done when I made that my primary carry.
