I've been carrying since the early 90's. Started with a Colt Officer's, then an STI 2011, then a Glock 17, Glock 30. I've carried a Kimber Raptor II for the last five years. At times i carry my SA Crimson Carry. Now it's a toss up between my Springfield XDm in .40 if I think I'm going out of town or my Springfield XDm in .45 locally. I have both a Crossbreed and a High Noon for them. They're both comfortable holsters. The .40 decision is due to the fact that my wife also carries her XDm in .40 for out of area carry.

Gentlemen, had to move some posts to the parking lot since they were RTKBA related and , until further notice, the powers that be forbid the topic on SRP. Please stay on topic of your personal carry and leave gun control, gun legislation past or pending out of the conversation. Thanks for your cooperation.

How bought calling it "this that shall not be named"?
"We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

As Sonny Boy Williamson is recorded telling Leonard Chess, in the song 'Little Village', "You call it what you wanna, call it your mammy if you wanna !"

Just no posts about "it" please .....

Lately I've been doing almost entirely appendix carry. I find on my small frame it's easier for me to conceal, and feel more comfortable for long periods. I've gotta say picking up a Remora hyde holster was a great choice. After three weeks I can comfortable give it my full recommendation. Comfort, retention, draw, and stability are all great. I was able to wear it both ways on a 4 hour (one way) trip to my parents without any discomfort. I dont know how'd it work for a bigger firearm but with my PPS it works wonderfully. I'll definitely pick one up for my p229 once it come back. On the subject of p229 does anyone have any tips on carrying one? I've never carried anything that thick before.

Get a good belt. If you don't want to spend the money for leather, some of the nylon belts work well. I use the Wilderness Instructor's Belt, but there's a lot of newer stuff on the market that may be better.
