Thread: How many people CCW here?

I don't yet, but I will in 2 years or so when I turn 21.

when I do, I will carry a revolver in .357 or more than likely some variation on a 1911.

My choices so far are a double action .357 by Ruger or a Wilson Combat 1911

Check if your state values Maine CCL if they do you can get it now with a qualifying course and an out of state permit. Thats what I'm doing.

well i just found out that im not susposto carry my boot knife while im at work at my grandfathers store but no ones knows i have it in my boot so i may just keep carrying it because if something ever to happen when im on regester id feel way better knowing i have the edge

I'd just give them the money and cower. That way I go home.

no its not my grandfather that has the issue its this ruth girl that is assistant manager and she thinks she can make an example out of me because its my grandfathers store so she has been putting me thru the ringer on bs stuff and acting acting all kind and sweet to the other employees ive seen it before many times she thinks she has to be strict with me and all i ask if that she treats me like any other employee.

That won't always get you home. I saw a video recently where the man cooperated and they still pulled the trigger, more than once. The only thing that saved him was the gun was so cheap it wouldn't go off.

There was a story out of Florida yesterday.

A man at Church was a CCW. Another man was thinking about getting a license and wanted to see the carrier's gun. They went in a closet and the carrier took out his gun and removed the magazine. The gun went off and the bullet went through the wall and struck the Preacher's Daughter in the head. She is in critical condition if she is still alive today.

For this reason I chose a pistol with a magazine disconnect. Also for this reason I carry a pistol with a real safety, unlike a Glock.

I carry a glock 36. All glocks/guns are safe if you keep your finger away from the trigger. There is no need to have your finger near the trigger when unloading your firearm. thats just basic safety.

Yeah. I know. I'm being simplistic. I just don't want to end up like that guy in that move 'Falling Down'. I'd be dangerous with a weapon. I have bad road rage, and I would have been incarcerated YEARS ago if I lived in America...It'd be a bit like a Mad Max scenario here in the Adelaide hills if I'd be allowed to carry a weapon..
