I'm surprised nobody's said something like, "I don't drive a stick, but my wife flies a broom..." Oh wait, I just said that.

Believe it or not I found a 2012 Ford Focus with a 5 speed in it. Of course I immediately bought it. I've had stick shift cars/trucks most of my driving life only driving automatics when I absolutely had to. The Focus is a great car. Comfortable, very good on gas, and not a bad looking car at all the one ding I would give it is that sometimes on the highway, it kind of acts like it needs a 6th gear.
I drive both, but I love driving a stick. You have more control over the car in my opinion.
I drive both. I have an auto Toyota Pickup and a stick Isuzu Trooper 2.
They come in stick, I test-drove a couple while shopping for a small p/u. Drove an automatic as a kid, but after my first stick car, I never looked back. Live in the burbs, been blessed with easy commutes (no stop and go), my left knee isn't too arthritic to push a pedal.. Not the right time to go back to auto ;)
Well... I wonder if there really is a connection between guys who use traditional methods of shaving, and their love for the manual trans. Or if those guys who don't drive stick, aren't posting/voting knowing how passionate guys are about their rides... or maybe it's all the Europeans voting? Who really knows :)
So far about 88% of those who voted have a stick! In America I am told, that's almost exactly the opposite of the sales numbers. From what I understand, 90% of all cars sold in the U.S. are automatics which kind of makes sense. I mean the distances American's drive compared to so many other country's is quite something.
I was reading a thread here about what you see people doing in their cars and honestly... though wrong, when you are in your car allot, well a stick gets in the way of you know, eating, putting on your makeup etc, etc :).
Every car ive owned has been stick....3 civics, a crx, a 442, a 02 mustang gt, 04 wrx, 11 wrx, and 12 wrx.
I'm hoping my next one is a 911. Dreams can come true :)
It was a sedan and I really liked the looks of the hatch better. Also much more functional. So I traded up! I gotta stop doing that.
I drive a stick, a 2004 PT Cruiser that I bought not only for my own enjoyment but because I felt like I ought to teach my kids how to drive a stick. 8 years later, I'm still loving my Cruiser--and still haven't let the kids get behind the wheel!
