As is traditional, the owners are blaming wages and pension costs. The union had a very different perspective:
"The plan has little or no chance of succeeding in saving the business," said Frank Hurt, president of the Bakery Workers union, in a statement last month.
"This is a company that is controlled by Wall Street private equity and hedge fund firms, whose sole objective is to maximize their own returns, not rebuild a company for the long haul," he said.
And as is also traditional, the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle. But ultimately it should be an individual's right to decide the terms of his/her own employment.
MLA, as a conservative kind of guy I demand the right to decide my own terms of employment.

"Well,,,looking good & tasting good often bring about different results; like in buried Twinkies & middle aged women wearing jeans. Once you remove the wrapping, the results may not be pleasant.”
Have you met my ex wife???

Well, they just announce on CH. 6 South Florida News, that they was a run on Twinkies today, not a Twinkie left to be found on the shelfs here.
Now, it took Florida "4" days after the close of the election, to count presidential ballets in select polling stations.
and still we are not sure if all ballots have been found & accounted for.
But;
In less than 24 hours, Floridians have managed to find & seize every Twinkie there is; no matter the location. :thinking:
Hirlau, some things just take precedence over presidents!
Sure seems that way, MLA.
Looks like the company is now gone,18.5 K people out of work.
Unions are truly great things doncha think:(
