Thanked: 235Hand written letters
I was talking to some of my students today about methods of communication, these are teenagers who find email to be slow because it is a one person at a time communication. Anyway, I said what about hand written letters. They just looked at me as if I had suggested that people should communicate via smoke signals.
I feel sorry for these students because they may never know the joy of recieving a hand written letter.
The thought that some one has taken the time to pen some thoughts, the physicality of the paper and envelope, and thepersonality that goes into a hand written letter are some of the things that make receiving a letter one of the finer things in life.
I think that many people today would benefit from slowing down and taking the time to pen a letter.
