Looks like a very nice stack of wood! ... and it looks like we share back yards too . Our wood stove is really nice (very practical too, it has glass, for the comfy feeling, but also pipes going up and down before going out + a fan that blows heat out in the room). Recently got a delivery of wood, 2,2 cubic meter of birch, should last us this winter

I've always loved fireplaces and woodstoves. Nothing quite like sitting in front of one watching the fire, and having a nice drink.

I'm jealous.
Seriously. I love snow. And nothing is nicer than a thick blanket of fresh snow outside, on a day that you don't need to leave the house. The world is a much better place when it is snowy. Sadly, this year it won't be anything but rain, rain, and rain.
The only thing better would be to be in my smithy on such a day, with a charcoal fire blazing, and a pot of hot coffee.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I have a good fire going in my wood-stove. And plenty of fire wood.
It is quite nice to have a wood –stove with a cooking plate on top.
My glass is filled with a pleasant Maltese red wine and I read one of Patrick O’Brian’s books.
