I have found that this works really well on a razor that would other wise be called "ugly". Shapton gave me two razors to play with and I'm pleased with the results!! (Tom you will have to wait until I can finish the cammo one before I show em!). Bead blast the rust off and paint away!!! Also just finished a Bulgarian AK and will post the pictures Sat.

I like the effect, but what I like best, besides rust protection, is that the additional thickness of the duracoat and tape (to keep the finish), would be beneficial for a worn out spine, and it will put the angle of the edge close to when it was new.
My only concened is that the duracoat I have seen are not as polished as bare metal can be, and it could have an adverse effect on the strop, maybe not? Please let us know how it strops after you put scales and an edge on it (more pictures please!). Double O
