    Do you mean pretty cheap in 70$ range or 25$ range?

    The ones over $50 I've had better luck with.
    I never had a DOA with a purchase price of over $100.

    EDIT: All of the watches I'm talking about are Cold War era. I don't have any experience with new production watches.

    Thanks for the answer.

    It also seems that you can buy directly from factory: Vostok Watches.

    Prices are reasonable with 10$ shipping (at least to Croatia).

    It looks like I will order from them after all.

    Wow nightblade, you really ARE into Russians and their culture! You've even got me looking at these watches- checkout the "partners"- some of those are sweet looking also.

    Yeah they are but they're nice looking. When I was a kid and Russia was still the USSR I had a family friend who did business and Iceland and brought me back one of these watches- looking at these prices I wish I would have kept it now!
