The ones over $50 I've had better luck with.
I never had a DOA with a purchase price of over $100.
EDIT: All of the watches I'm talking about are Cold War era. I don't have any experience with new production watches.Last edited by HNSB; 06-13-2013 at 10:04 AM.

Thanks for the answer.
It also seems that you can buy directly from factory: Vostok Watches.
Prices are reasonable with 10$ shipping (at least to Croatia).
It looks like I will order from them after all.

Yeah they are but they're nice looking. When I was a kid and Russia was still the USSR I had a family friend who did business and Iceland and brought me back one of these watches- looking at these prices I wish I would have kept it now! Originally Posted by Nightblade
