How far away from sitting on the floor rocking backwards and forwards whilst crying and eating chocolate and listening to the cure and Leonard cohen are you?
Of course I care, how could I fail to when you make me chuckle so often. Don't feel picked on, though in fairness I think some sport has been made from this. If we've scarred you there should be a psychologist at your workplace who could help you through it:-), I certainly wouldn't look to us lot based on the "help" we've been so far.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Thanked: 485You need to explain some stuff, it's not translating into Aussie well:
dockers and sketchers
corrected grain
I like the sound of your Cole Haan boots, esp the idea of the contrasting toe cap. That's one thing I like about the Alfred Sargent boots; the toe cap. I never wear a tie, I have worn pleated trousers, and I'd prefer stitched welts (I think the Sargent boots are not, though one site did offer them with leather soles).
Did you note the 'corrected grain' appears to be only on the 'top' part? I like the contrast. My H by Hudson 'Herman' boots have some contrast in the leather. Actually, if I could get those in brown I probably would (though the Sargent ones are very appealing) but they don't make them any more. H Hudson 'Smyth brown' is a nice boot, but they don't deliver to Au and the shop I got the H Hudson Hermans from doesn't stock the brand any more.

BTW (everyone), I came across the 'The Gentlemen's Gazette' a while ago, and subscribed to the newsletter. It's quite good reading and includes quite interesting fashion advice and articles. Very European in styling, and I'm not bold enough (or rich enough) to pull off the styles, but it's a good read. It's here:

Thanked: 485Actually, had a look at the Cole Haan site, and it seems all they have is 'Cukka' boots. Not sure I like their shoe styles either...

Thanked: 485Um, not far really, but that's a very general thing.
Leonard is 'camping in the rain' stuff normally and I love The Cure. The boys always say "We're not going to stand by the fire in the rain while you drink beer and smoke and listen to that Leonard guy again are we?"
I'm glad I make you chuckle because you crack me up too.
I love the sport. This is actually (forgive me for saying) turning in to a very entertaining thread. I almost feel the end result (before the Thread Closed sign goes up) should be a photo of me adorned in tan boots, jeans, waistcoat, fine cotton shirt, cufflinks, Taser (to ward off the rampaging prisoners) and maybe a tweed cap but you're not going to get it.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me?
