    Default DM-007 & DM-008 K460 O1 razor blades

    Hi to all,

    With DM-006 I didn't get well so I start with new razors...


    Models are transfered on O1 (Böhler K460) steel.




    Rough cut




    Cheramical belt P40 works wonders


    Almost done

    Now its 9,5 mm thick

    After some grinding is 7 mm thick


    Some steel wool




    Dimension check

    Why do you start out with 9.5 mm thickness? Seems a bit excessive
    Just curious if this is just what you had available, or if it was a concious choice.

    That was only available of course.

    For future reference, there are several online stores that are good to do business with. Or if you are based in Europe, I can give you a couple contacts for buying steel. Or if you need just an occasional blank, I'm sure several people here would glad help you out.

    I am in Hungary, and Uddeholm has O1 and A2 in 6mm sheet stock for very good prices. Try to find your local Uddeholm retailer, I am sure that they will have some in stock too.
