For anyone interested, I thought Id come out of the shadows... I commissioned this piece from davorvfr... although I haven't received the razor yet obviously, the communication so far has been outstanding, and it is clear that his number 1 priority is creating exactly what his client wants. He has worked with me through concept to design to build, keeping me up to date with each step through the journey. Will post more info once the razor is finished and received, but so far, I can't praise him enough. If others are wanting a custom razor at a very fair price, Id recommend you introduce yourself to him.

Moving forward, the plans are to patina the razor heavily, to give it a very aged, almost rusted appearance, based on a sample pic I sent him...

Thought the patina would well suit the 6000+ yr old wood he is using for the scales.

I know it will still be a month or two until I receive this razor, but looks like it will be worth the wait

It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

I've been meaning to ask: what technique / tool do you use for making your mark on the blade?
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
To spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the Last Day
