    Default New Grinder

After visiting Charlie Lewis last month, at the North Central Texas Meet, I had to build one of these.

30 days from driving home from the meet to completion. That has to be some kind of record, no? Still have to do some contact wheels and platen, but it tracked perfectly first try!

That looks great, I like the way you did the base and motor mounting. Now I am jealous.

Looks like it's time to feed the beast!

    ... have fun, but safely!
May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

It's easy to make small improvements when you have first hand knowledge of an idea that you already know works. Thanks again for all you taught and showed me at the meet.

I hate to rain on your parade but that is hardly an ergonomic work height. The grinder looks pretty sweet but that bench needs some improvements.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Ha! If I took the picture in my shop it would be hard to see the grinder in a back round of tools and debris.

That's a nice build. Tool acquisition disorder is nearly as bad as RAD.

Well done Victor! You have put some considerable thought into your build.
Shaun, Victor is a modest heigth. Maybe one more cinder block will do! LOL
Sorry about that Victor, It was hard to pass that up!
