if they shipped it in the steel bucket, then you don't have to buy or make a quench tank. #50 is room temp oil.

Unfortunately it's a plastic 5 gallon bucket. I haven't decided on how I want to store it, but a metal 5 gallon bucket is still at the top of my list...just take the top off and quench. I need a lid as it will be sitting more than being used & I don't want it full of bugs and the occasional critter that may make it in the shop.

I would consider 5 one gallon paint cans. Most of the time a one gallon can is big enough and they seal up tight. Or for that matter just one 1gallon can and leave the rest in the plastic pail out of harms way.

Mine came in a steel bucket however I heat parks 50 at 100-120F for 1095 hence it's in a different container. To each his own as this works perfectly for me.

Max, Parks/Heatbath appears to have changed the listed specs a few years back to lower the minimum operating temp from 90F to 70F. 120F is now listed as the top of the range for #50. I live in Central Florida, so I only have to heat #50 maybe 2 weeks out of the year.
