Thanked: 23Nice chunk of steel, 53 pounds with the base plate sounds rite, and it's got a large enough surface to make a dandy blade smith anvil, just about perfect really. Let use know how it turns out.

Thanked: 23Hmmm, I was thinking of running a water hose over the top of the anvil while it's sitting upright, but if you could support it upside down and rig a valve like that to supply continues water to the face it'd probably work very well for an anvil.

No progress yet, maybe this weekend.
If I do it, the chunk will be right side up, with the hose on top.
