Default Daughter made a BBQ poker

My oldest daughter asked if she could make something with me, so we decided on a bbq poker as a first forging project. I made one, identical to hers. Every step of the process, I showed first how to do it, and then she did it on her piece. My work is cut from the this video, which only shows her work.

She did very well, and really liked doing this. She is interested in learning more and happy that she is able to learn this skill from me. We decided that out next project is going to be a bottle opener.

She really paid a lot of attention to my explanations and there is a chance that she will make a hobby out of this.

Now this is a real Fathers’ Day vignette. Congratulations, you are obviously very proud of your daughter.

I love it! I'm also a little jealous as my daughter never developed much of an interest in my hobbies. It looks like she did a terrific job. That attractive young woman with a great smile must take after her mother.

Well Bruno I think the video is great for a lot of very different reasons.
I like that you and one of your children were spending some time hanging out and enjoying an activity together.
I also like the fact that stereotypes and gender roles are being smashed. We should all be able to participate in what we enjoy. From my perspective, the less we let old gender roles and stereotypes define us as people, the happier and more well balanced we are individually and collectively.
I think you four are doing great.

Thats a wonderful thing Bruno. I just hope she find even more excitement in working along side you. Maybe we will find "She-Bruno" blades for sale.
