Thread: The Great Razor Analysis Project

Hey, guys, it looks like The Great Razor Analysis Project is about to spring back to life for Phase II. I have been really busy this summer and fall trying to get some things finished up, and I haven't had time to work on tracking down a place that can analyze the blades. (My first option didn't work out, because the college didn't have the equipment to measure carbon content. They could give me other trace metals, but obviously carbon is pretty dang important....)
But this project is still on my to-do list, especially since you all were so generous in sending me samples.
I'm thinking it'll probably be a couple of months before I get everything back from the lab, but you will get to see the results when I have them.
Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop...

If you need more blades in the future, I've got two that have been outlived their usefulness. One is a Robeson, and the other is made in Germany and stamped by/for some company in California (don't remember the info off the top of my head). Just drop me a PM if they'd be of any use.

I would hope that with Butch's razors, the steel content is already known. Of course, if he's donating, who am I to refuse?
