    I would enjoy to have a 7.8" wheel to make smaller grind and less thick razor.
    With my 11.8 inch wheel your right, the grind is not enough deep on that thickness and the honing time is quitly long

    I did the same thing when I started making razors. The steel was from an old file and to thin but it was very good practice!

    No problem , i prefer to have two time the information . It's a good practice, i'm far to have perfect result now, but with the time, i'm sure that will become better
