    Jimmy,

I am guessing you haven't had the two S30V razors very long, but I would be interested to know if you see any problems with micro chipping on the edges. On some of my S30V knives by certain makers I have seen some micro chipping on the edges when they were sharpened to very acute angles.

On one of them it came to me with a micro chip. It was shaving very well so I never messed with it and the chip is still there. The other required honing and micro chips haven't been an issue. Both of mine were made by Robert Williams.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Thanks Jimmy.

S30V can be bad about that sometimes, but it is an amazing steel. For some reason it does tend to get better after it's been honed a few times. In other words, the chipping seems to go away.
