Thread: Potato Chip Razor

i've been using a makeshift etcher on my knife blades. In lieu of a proper stencil, i've been using the white on black laser printer method. If you make your text/logo white with a black background, and in reverse, then print it out on a laser printer, you can iron it onto the steel to use as a mask. Then use a power supply (9-12V), a Q-tip and salt water to do the etching. This version is probably a little rough to use on such fine Razors though.

Very impressive, love the scales.
I to know what it's like to have limited tools, which makes this all the more of an accomplishment to me.
Keep going, I took the plunge on a belt grinder and have not looked back.

Wow, that's a blast from the past...from 2010! Still have the old tools, but do have a proper 2x72 grinder and gas forge now. Most of the time I am working on knives as they sell like hotcakes...hopefully I will get back into razors this fall when it cools down.
