Thanked: 10Looking good! Is this one a composite blade? The top middle frame looks as if there is a cutting bit but I can't tell if you welded it to the billet or not.
I really want to try forging one, what size steel do you recommend starting with? Would 25mm X 6mm be good or would bigger (like 30mm) b better?

Thanked: 10Ok I can see the forge weld now, I'm viewing this on my phone so its a little small! I've been searching many forums and sites looking for a basic tutorial on making a kamisori, either by grinding or forging. I have capabilities for both ways and am grindin my own now. Does anyone have any links or anywhere they can point me with info? I can not do forge welding though, so a mono steel version is what I would have to do.
