    I want to see it in action! Are you going to line the steel with some sort of kitty litter clay like Baldy did?

    Nice simple design I like it. Maybe some lava rocks and litter would fill in those slots at the bottom. You told me you lost coal out of them ? It's nice to see your project as it goes along, looking forward to watching your progress.

    you get a lot of coal arround the outside that does no good. that's what I was trying to say.

    Ohhhh ! Well you could put something in the hole like a pipe cap with holes directing the air flow. All depends on how you want your fire. Lots of things to think about eh ?

    I was just wondering have any others had trouble with finding good steel stock? I only ask because I can't find any 1090 steel.
