    Default Multitool Grinder attachment... Please help..

    I found this and cannot find anyone that carries it with the 8" wheel. I went to Tru-Grit and they advertise them but don't carry them........ Anyone with info...?

    I wouldnt get hung up on wheel size for your first blade. The wheel can be swapped and a tension wheel added with little trouble.
    That system should serve you well, my grinder is very similar but I have modified it to accept 1" belts.

    I actually contacted vansantsupplies about this today. They sel the 8" wheel sperate, so i asked if the 2 x 48 could handle it. I am waiting back for their reply, and can pm you what they tell me.
    Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Actually just ordered a 2 x 36 from ebay. hope to make a conversion with it. Looks like all that would be needed is a front bracket mod with an 8" wheel and maybe and extention or reduction to accept the proper length belts. Wonder why they stopped making the 8" model..?

    Typically, that would be because not enough people buy them to make it worth their while.
    Knifemakers typically use larger diameters.

    Not going to be using it for knife making. Possibly razors. I have a personal friend who is a knife maker who uses an 8 inch wheel on his KMG. He's been making knives for many years.
