The lighter ban is a bit strange. I have always gone through security with a lighter and a pack of smokes with no trouble. Had 2 lighters one time and had to give one up but that's about all. Yea, nobody said it had to make sense.

I llose a knife, or kubaton everytime I fly... I always forget I have them attached to my keys or in my pocket... Pisses me of when it is just a little swiss for the key chain.. More fore the tweezers for pulling splinters, and the scissors.

That calls for a reenactment of the classic "Spinal Tap" scene.

It's funny, I have a permanent screw in my shoulder and one in my knee, sometimes one goes off but not the other; or neither go off. But I've never had both go off at the same time.

anyone ever had an issue with tactical pens? 'cause I always carry one with me, and now I'm wondering... its basically a kubotan that writes, and one of the reasons I picked it up is that is a safe carry as a tourist abroad ( at home I carry a CZ shadow and a letherman skeletool, as well as the pen, but I've learned to be wary of knife laws interpretations abroad)

Only two strange experiences. 1. Cargo Pants; went through the X-ray ok, but told that I had to be have a pat down and searched because I had a pair of "Cargo Pants" on!
    2. My wife and a 'Ski Jacket'. Had told my wife not to wear her 'Many Zippered' Ski Jacket on the trip. They stopped her a X-ray and told her she had to be searched because if it.
I was near by and laughed and said I had told her so. 'They' said: 'where are you going??' What? 'You too! You're with her!'
