No need to hope if it will turn out nice - it will, Val always does a great job!
Keep you eye on this thread to see how he restores the W&B 17/16 I sent him:
http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...16-anchor.html
I should be getting pics any time.
He also rescaled a Dovo Bismarck for me, and restored an old Boker King Cutter with MOP inlaid tang that I found....
That W&B you have is beautiful, as all of them are, but those scales are remarkable...can't wait to see it done!!

Duffman said it best: "Oh yeah! Oh yeah!"
I realize this is an older post but for what its worth
I have to say that the idea of quality production is severely lacking in the world today, and a high number of people think that "good enough" is good enough. Not me, I am insanely picky.
I can testify to this, I got a restored wade and butcher from his eBay shop. As far as I am concerned, Mr. Harsonsky is a true master of his art. I can honestly say, he shows PRIDE and extremely high level of SKILL in his work. I just wished he lived in vancouver :Þ

I couldn't agree more - he's done some pretty nice work for me, and is restoring some blades for me now. He simply does awesome work. In my SRP photo album, you can see many of the blades he's done for me, I tagged the one's he did.

Val is a great dude. He walked me through so many things when I first started out and made my straight razor journal as enjoyable as possible. Love this guy. His work is amazing. Stuff looks great on his instagram and looks better in person.

Yeah. He posted a pic on instagram of blades he needed to restore and I called dibs.
I also seen those scales on another razor he did and requested them specifically.
Man how do you guys in Canada get your hands on so many Wade & Butchers. I cant find any here in Southern California and the ones on ebay go for so much money now. Let me know if you are ever willing to part with any of yours.

We're Canadian, we're kinda like the lovechild of England and France after a drunken one night stand and England just left us to grow up with our big brother America, who was like the rebel of the family, and all we had left was all these cool razors that Mum and Dad left behind....really, that's what happened, it's true!

Cool looking pipe. What is the material the scales are made from?
I have a pipe away being restored and seeing the two posted today is making me antsy.
