Default Looking for ideas for my wife

Having just discovered the joys of wet shaving for myself I think my wife would enjoy using a good soap and brush. I already have some ideas for a brush for her but would like some input from the lady's here on a soap she may enjoy. I have seen that Mama Bear seems to be a much recomended soap. What specific ones do you all like to use? Thanks in advance for you input.

Well, no one has answered, but my dream girl would like a big glass load of Martin de Candre.
Pricy, yet long-lasting. To be shared, of course!

Has she tried your brush and soap? My girlfriend uses a DE under the shower, using her regular bath soap, with good results.

I think she would be disappointed if she tried to drink Martin de Candre.

No, No, JReed! Martin de Candre is the top tier soap from France. It comes in a glass jar! Click on the link Otto provided above!

I see. If your wife is in no hurry, perhaps you can shave her legs (and so) for her. Otherwise, I find it hard to recommend a scent, as my soaps are either neutral or masculine.
As for a brush, if your wife likes very soft, I would say silvertip badger. I got a separate knot from China for $16 or so and made the handle myself. Ready-made silvertips from a good brand are far more expensive, I haven't tried those.

My wife really liked Geo F Trumpers coconut. So much so she demolished it for me. It was just taking up space anyway

I use Black soap. Once the ol lady finally tried it, she got hooked on it and my soap now disappears a lot quicker. It can be difficult to try the real thing., but it is worth it
