My Filarmonica #13 DT is just as smooth as can be. As I had mentioned in another thread, I'm not one to buy into hype if I can avoid it, so I'm usually skeptical if one brand is touted over another. But I can tell you without reservation that this is easily my smoothest shaver. And that's not saying my other razors don't get a superb edge from the pro honers, it's just that the Filly stands out.
