    Default We're all sissies

Here's the proof. The bottom blade was used by my grandfather, the top is a gift from my wife (shocking as it is, she saw it at an antique market and picked it up for me, was a bit insulted when I started laughing)

For all our 8k, 12k, Belgian, Escher, CrO2 - these were probably honed on a 220 stone

Yeah, men were real men then

    Cheers
    Ivo

And their aftershave was pure grain alcohol mixed with gunpowder... which they ignited after splashing on their faces!

And they wiped their butts with oak leaves. I'll pass on that too.

Oak Leaves!?! Pffftt.... why my grandpappy used PINECONES! And if none were available, he'd fashion a "scraper" by knapping a large nodule of flint! And he was grateful for the chance to wipe himself with it!

Dude, that's so soft. My grandpop had two straights - his shavin' straight and his a-wipin' straight. Kept them both shave-sharp, too.

What a weenie. My great-grandpap stuck his face into a roaring steel furnace when he wanted a shave! He did not want to wait for the metal to be fashioned into some girly blade.

And as for wiping? He never did. He held it in for his entire life. Only limp wristed pansies need to go... and thus need wiping.
