Actually, when you do the maths... assuming it's 4$ per cartridge (25$ for 8 at amazon + tx, same at wallmart) and 1 cartridge per week (which was approx. my usage when I stopped 18 months ago, but I still have a pretty laughable beard at 30 y.o., so that's a really safe figure, I assume this would have had to jump to 2 cartridges per week eventually), times 50 weeks (still a safe figure, I usually skip 1 shave per week, mainly due to laziness or lack of time or whatever), that's 200$ per year. Assuming I die at 80y.o. (another safe figure consider family history), that's another 50 years of shaving ahead of me for a total budget of at least 10 000$ (not considering inflation and money value across time).

    Cheers.

You're right! And assuming cartridge razor manufacturers will increase the number of blades by 1 per 2 years and the price accordingly, you'll be buying 30-blade cartridges at $29 each plus inflation by the time you turn 80. Shaving will become something for the wealthy elite and those sensible enough to buy SRs

I need to spend more money on razors, hones and whatnot.
