Is this a newbie problem?? a new disorder?
I may have a disorder thrust upon me from a lifetime of shaving with canned goo.<---this is a primary culprit for many addictions suffered here at SRP, I believe.
More often than not, I find myself deeply inhaling from my brush when in the bathroom. The soaps and creams smell so amazing, particularly left over on a dried or drying brush.
I know I'm talking to some understanding fellas here, but have I discovered a new condition? I know I'm ill, but I'm going to blame it on my upbringing.
Rationalizing this behaviour, by telling myself that this behaviour is acceptable in the bathroom, but that the brush should never leave the house with me in my pocket, seems to be a tell-tale sign

Sniff whatever the heck you want to in there; I do. Just don't talk about it.

The brush sniffing is merely a gateway. One day, you'll mature into twisting the lids off of creams and inhaling the purest way possible.
In the mean time... step away from the brush and go find something (preferably "someone") else to fondle that will be more appreciative - lest we read a new post in the help section entitled, "How do you remove inhaled brush hairs?"

I too am a brush sniffer. I actually started with shave soap and cream jars though. (I am a lid-off jar sniffer, by the way. Ya know, for the full effect).
I have been busted doing it on several occasions, and I just grin without shame. Although, nothing beats the incident last week when I apparently was a bit too aggressive about it and went parading through the house with a bit of cream on my nose without knowing it was there. My wife noticed it, and didn't bother mentioning it right way, and instead chose to giggle about for a bit before asking me (needlessly) if I had been sniffing soap/cream jars. I felt no shame in having done the act, however, sporting the evidence around the house was a little embarrassing.

Thanked: 6More often than not, I find myself deeply inhaling from my brush when in the bathroom.
The one I particularly enjoy is Penhalligon's Blemhein Bouquet. I actually decided to dedicate one single brush to that particular cream because of the smell that leaves behind

I have found myself rubbing a little on the backside of my hands on occasion and, no, no need to water it off.
