I've never used a DE before and I just purchased a GEM on ebay that is supposed to be in good nick. No doubt I'll drop you a line when I cut myself to bits

Dazza, I don't think that Gem's the same as a DE. Actually it may even be a single edge disposable, but don't take my word for it. I only use straights and a regular DE on occasion.

Yes it is a single edge, I Gave it a try, I did not care for them YMMV, Good Luck

Yep you're right, It's a single edge but I couldn't help myself, it sure looked purdy.

It comes with a second razor (a DE) for $12.50AUS.
