I would say so if your not hauling a 5th of Jack black a carton of smokes and at least 5 razors. That would pay for any travel expenses incurred.

And it would be grey market I think :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I do usually have a roll of Copenhagen and 5-7 razors depending on the trip. Every time they do decide to check my bags, it is entertaining. I have more in shaving kit than in the rest of my luggage put together. One time they did accuse me of smuggling for resale because I had 3 different shaving creams/soaps and a number of pre and post shave supplies for a 2 week stay. Eventually, when I showed them that all the products had been partially used, they gave up.

Customs nailed the sucker, has been three yrs,the owner still has his watch in limbo,I have been banned from sending anything to Canada until this issue is resolved.
You never ever send a Rolex either to or from the U.S. It's subject to seizure.

Rolex USA is hyper aggressive about protecting their "brand", I recall vaguely that they cannot be "imported" or "exported" without permission of Rolex USA. Reason is the large number of fakes and the tools/fools/poseurs here that buy and wear them

    No, that's not the reason.

It has to do with how Rolex USA was set up. They are not a subsidiary of the main Rolex Company but of a Rolex Sub-Branch so technically a Rolex bought in Europe is not a genuine Rolex according to Rolex USA and therefore is subject to seizure. Even if you travel with your Rolex you better have only one because more than that and it can be seized unless you can prove it was bought in the U.S. A few exceptions do exist like for watches bought in a military PX but only one watch per serviceman and entry in the U.S for a Rolex is one per person.

I don't know how watch parts or repaired pieces are treated.

Now that is interesting for sure. I wonder how that would hold up under international free trade agreements? Smacks just a bit of protectionism. OT I don't wear Rolex watches so it really does not effect me.

It has to do with copyright protection and is perfectly legal. Similar to the recent court case where Costco was selling Omega Watches cheap that they procured in Asia and Omega didn't like that so Omega put a hologram on the watches and copyrighted that and sued Costco based on that hologram and they won the case.
