Border woes
Dear Canada Border Services,
It's ok. Really it is.
Please let the Post Office deliver my razor from the U.S. I'll pay whatever the tax is. I just want my razor.

Oh yes, and pay you will.
I've got dinged a couple of times by them. Once, some razor's that I'd already purchased and sent out, bam! Came back and they wanted $60.00 duty charges for getting them honed...the guy standing at the door during the blizzard doesn't care that you already paid for them, or that it was for a service, give him his money now or he'll return them and you'll never see them again.
Sigh.
edit: hey earcutter, we both whimsically sighed...

It's not much. I'm just getting started with a simple razor and strop from WD. About 3 days behind that is an inexpensive ebay blade from Texas. I wanted to get started but don't want to beat up expensive stuff. Figured I would make my mistakes on those.
There's an older DOVO INOX on the way too but it's coming from a Canadian source (used but well kept)The light from the Stars in the Big Dipper took an entire lifetime to reach your eyes. For Astronomy, Shaving and Geekery follow me on twitter: @StevetheCanuck

Nice!! And good plan.
Don't get too many right off the bat. Each blade has its own personality and it pays to love your first(s) lol.
Well... at least that's my take, even if I didn't follow that advise myself lol!
Good luck man and sorry about your boarder woes... Arg!David
