My question is why should I shave on the cheap? What's the fun in that? I could drive around in a Yugo but I don't, I could go running in slippers but I don't, I could go mountain biking with a 3 speed bike but I don't, and I could eat macaroni and cheese for dinner every day but I don't. None of that is fun.

But for the ultimate shaving on the cheap I'll relate a story told to me by my dad many years ago.

A friend of his was in Marine Boot camp during WWll and they were all told the first day since they are all men and will be Marines they will shave every day period. Two dudes didn't think they needed to. The following day their DI marched them out to the garbage dump and retrieved for both of them two totally corroded DE razors with blades to match. He marched them back to the barracks and made them shave in front of the entire group with these razors and made them keep shaving until the DI was satisfied. That was with no prep, no water, no soap, nothing. After they were done and their faces were all cut up and scared for life the DI poured Alcohol all over their faces while they were doing pushups.
