I suspect the flexball will be a vibrating, 6 blades, with built in LED lights to guide your shave safely in the future....

One Blade is all I will ever need again
I absolutely hated multiblade razors that were clogged after the first or second shave and were so expensive you felt the need to abuse yourself for several more shaves to justify the cost. I wont subsidize Woods and Federer ever again

Gentlemen,
I have seen this razor and closely examined it. You'll be amazed with the enthusiasm some multi-blade cartridge razor shavers have shown over Gillette's new creation. The main characteristic of this razor is the maneuverable shave head which can follow the contours of the face with five blades without lifting off the face. One multi-directional pass, then, is all you need. What more do you want out of life? This is a big deal to some multi-blade shavers.
I would not be surprised if the razor's next generation is motorized with a clamp to attach it to the face. All you have to do then is to turn on the switch and the razor will shave you without the use of hands. More like a driver-less lawnmower.
Hey, at this stage in my life, I'll believe anything — singing rabbits and dancing raccoons.

Thanked: 1I saw the commercial for that today and about fell out. Then I came home and shaved with a 130 year old wade and butcher. One day when all these razors are obsolete and you can't find blades for them, my straights will still be working perfectly

I suppose as a member of this forum I'm supposed to hate it, but I'm not much good anymore at hating things, just too old for it I guess. I bought it for the fun of experimenting with it, and my first two shaves have been quick and quite good. Now, admittedly, my experience with cartridge razors has generally been positive. I've had fine shaves with them, they don't clog up for me because I use a light coat of lather if any at all, and I had a Gillette Quattro cartridge that gave me three months of shaves with very little deterioration in shave quality. I generally shave with larger straight razors, and I do prefer them. I also like Shelby Cobras, but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to hate Corvettes. I find the new Flexball perfectly serviceable, and while I'd rather shave with a big W&B, that doesn't mean that I have to hate or make fun of every other kind of razor. When you are in a very small minority (straight shavers), that doesn't have to mean that everyone else is necessarily wrong.

"Let's not stand on ceremony here, Mr. Wayne"
Seriously though. I recently converted a co worker over to DE after he expressed to me his complete dissatisfaction with Gillette and their gimmicks. Now he laughs at this kind of nonsense. He said one of his biggest gripes was that the heads DO flex and move. He was ecstatic when the DE I recommended to him stayed fixed."Try something the old way every once in a while. The only reason you are on this planet is because someone struggled and strived to do something you take for granted."
