I m not entirely certain but I think the dude was from India. He did a bang up job too, I saw him in the lobby later and it looked good. Nothing cheaper than a derby and some public bathroom soap!

+1 - My travel schedule has me sometimes using a Cart on the road when I don't have a Feather SS stashed there. I always bring a travel brush and a stick or something in a small container to avoid the goo. But the shaves are better than before - just not as close or comfortable. I believe that Razorfeld nails it - once you can shave well with a straight you have skills and methods that you use on autopilot - and even a cart works better than before.

The last time I used a cart I got a decent shave. HOWEVER, I broke out like a 14 year old. Took several days for the bumps to disappear. Never again.

This may be the first cartridge I have seen in a couple of years.
Next time your traveling and find yourself in this situation go to the nearest antique store. Gather everything you need and go to the register and ask for a cup of water. When the cashier says why tell them you want to try this out before you buy. Also it is wise to find a barbers hone in there first.

Personally I think I would use fire on a stick before I went with a cartridge again. Hone a sea shell on the sidewalk, anything.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Last time I was in Montreal, I had left my shaving stuff behind by accident, ended up buying a Bic disposable and a can of the goo...when I had washed my face and started to put the "foam" on my face, it literally fell off my face like cotton balls into the sink...just laughed and grabbed a bar of soap and lathered up that way...sheesh!
