    Default Not in along while

Note to self, never take shavette or travel razor out of dopp bag.

First time in about 10 years, I have used a disposable multiple blade.

Good to hear you lived to tell the tale!

Should make your next proper shave all the sweeter.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I cringed looking at the picture. I am such a snob I don't even like using a DE. Today was the first time I have used something other than a straight (DE) in a long time. Only reason I did was my hours at work changed so I haven't figured my schedule out yet.

The blades are for the razors I left at home. I usually have a fall back shavette and safety razor in my travel bag. This evening I made an emergency trip to CVS, to shave for a wedding.

It's been quite a while since I have read such a horror story here on SRP. My condolences.

Bad as it may seem, to have to use a 'device' to shave with, I find that doing so every so often helps reinforce my preferences of using a straight. I have to say, tho, that the experience of using a straight and the technique needed to get a good shave, ie: skin stretching, makes the literal piece of crap perform a lot better.

This past summer I was in Radium Hotsprings and on the way out there was a guy shaving with a DE blade pinched between his thumb and forefinger. I was trying not to stare as I was having a hard time believing what I saw. Perhaps it is better than a multi blade. I however lack the steel gonads to try it.

Sounds like it would make for a good SOTD, could see it now: Hand lathered bath soap/Derby blade/AS Moon shine - DCS (dam cheap shave)

Ummm. As to the OP. My Sunday SOTD should be interesting. As for now, we get by as we can!
