I thought the guy is new to all of this and has no inkling of how a few bucks fore will provide so much better. It IS funny how he chooses a Mercur while scads of 5 dollar Chinese DE's are there. I wonder what he uses for blades? Boi is jealous. JMHO

Thanked: 3795I was using a brush and soap for a couple of decades before finding SRP. I used whatever cheap boar brush I could find in a drug store. Most of them lost enough bristles to be useless within 2 or 3 years. I got kind of sick of that. I guess that makes me a snob.

Yeah I bought the same kit. I don't like the brush because it sheds like a golden retriever in summer but I actually like the soap and find it to be of good quality. I have used MWF and others. The only thing about the soap I wish was different was the scent. But thats why I have other soaps now.

No matter the product there are items that are basic and get the job done and then better handcrafted items. There are folks who drive around in a Yugo and think it's all they ever need. I would think most people out there realize there is always a better product. If they don't then they probably have no interest in higher priced items anyway.
