He can have a regular razor and the 12/8. Then offer varying levels of shave.

    Services provided:

Once over with a normal razor

Close and smooth with 2 passes of a normal razor

Touchless shave special with the 12/8 (touchless because the whisker will jump of the face in fear)

You may also run into health code problems that require either a replaceable blade or sterilization.

Even if you can't do it because of licensing or health code reasons, that is still really cool and quite the compliment. Plus, you get a chance to show off your skills to an expert. Very cool indeed.

Cool idea...now if it was only legal.

More guys would maybe use a str8 if more barbers -- who are actually licensed to shave others -- would offer str8 razor shaves in their shops and at an affordable price.

Wouldn't touch it without a barber's license. Think about the possibility of some joker claiming you gave him a scar, and sued.

Seems like these days you need a permit to go to take a leak . What have we come to... so who what does if matter if you get a little scar or need a tetanus shot.
    Good luck with the shave..

I do need to be licensed, but they are stating that I could work as a student under a barber for the same rate of pay because I have so much experience and then after the mandatory number of hours I would receive a license. I do get the feeling they are sort of bending the rules, and I really dont think I would do it either way, I just dont know if I have the time, I am also a bit nervous about shaving someone with the disposable blades, its much different I would asume than a heavy less sharp steel blade.

My barber says that for health code reasons he cant shave me with a real straight razor of theirs, BUT he will shave me with one of my razors if I want him too. I havent taken hip up on the offer yet though.
