Idea... Magic Shave Cream. If on close up, it appears that they are actually removing hair, they may be using Magic. It's applied as a Cream and looks very much like shave cream and after a few mins, is scrapped off with as dull blade. Shaving, but not.

Oh the horror of it all.
I guess on the plus side it promotes awareness of straight razors. The down side is that people think that you hold the blade at a really steep angle.
I remember reading an article that after James Bond used a straight in Skyfall interest in straight shaving went up by 400%
My main reason for learning the art is that I can still be clean shaven in the event of an apocalyptic event. If I have to help repopulate the planet I want to look my best!Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

I'm currently up-to-date on TWD. You may notice, during the first couple of seconds of that scene (no more than three seconds), there is at least decent technique demonstrated. It is during the close-up, right before they go to the wide shot (where Negan shows typical "Hollywood" wet shaving technique). It was likely another person shaving Negan, during the close-up. My guess would be a person on already studio payroll, like someone from the "Hair & Makeup" department.
I haven't done it yet, but I kinda want to go back and rewatch that scene. Dissect the technique of the person holding the razor.

I called B.S. when that scene played. Otherwise, what do you guys think about the current season so far?
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanked: 60Quit watching. Negan is the most cartoonish, unbelievable villain ever. It's like watching the Fonz from Happy Days. The pacing of the show has went down the crapper and jumping the shark has become so commonplace anything can happen

Disclaimer: I haven't read the comics.
...Also: SPOILERS!!!
I had a slight inkling during last season's finale, which has been all but confirmed with the first half of this season. My suspicion was/is they are building a Negan Empire, so they can have a "Fall of Rome" situation.
The standout examples of this, IMO, are things like the organized effort the Neganites are employing to deal with large herds of zombies. I believe it was the episode where Carl had hitched a ride back to Neganopolis. A few lackeys talked about having trouble with "...the redirect" (like when Rick & crew dealt with the quarry). It's at this point whe one says to the other: "Yeah, but if it wasn't for Negan, we wouldn't even be able to accomplish this." I may have botched the quote a bit, but that is the sentiment. I likened this to, what little I remember from History class in school... when they mention horrible, tyrannical rulers that also had a positive impact on their society, or even the world as a whole. Notably infrastructure improvements & such, like roads & health care.
Another example is the taxation. I almost called it commerce, but goods/services are only flowing in one direction. The central Negan group/compound collect "taxes", and distribute as they see fit, to whomever they feel like being... "generous" to.
Negan is, no doubt, a sick son of a bitch. But through his efforts, there seems to be a net gain to the rate of survival among the remaining humans. I wouldn't call it a government, but there is rule being imposed, as well as organization of the group.
I'm almost certain that we're going to have Negan around for at least a couple years(seasons). I wonder, however, how they will finally "deal" with him?
And once he is gone, what about the probable power vacuum? Or will Rick squash that deftly, before Negan's blood even starts to congeal?
So far, my least favorite season was the Governor-centric one that was mostly in Woodbury. It was dull, human drama... like a daytime soap opera. This season, thus far, has a decent mix of both human and apocalyptic survival drama types.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.
