It looks like things are going to be okay for now until the next one hits us, maybe next week but it really doesn't matter what it is. It's knowing that others from all around who have concern for their comrades.
Thank you to everyone who showed care to all of us Texas members here in the area where Harvey paid us a visit & left his signature behind. That's why we are here, not only for the great hobby of shaving but to support those who have bad things like hurricanes, floods, snow storms or even terrorist attacks.................whatever it may be, we're all here to support one another.
God bless the USA & the rest of the world.

My thoughts are with all that have been affected.
A mate of mine was working out the calculation of how many years water Cape Town would have if the same level of rain that Texas has received came down in Cape Town. It worked out to something astonishing like 38 years.Tony

Now we have new news about the Brazos River cresting Friday morning. A judge has put a curfew on unincorporated areas of Ft. Bend County which is the county I live but I may not be in that, I'm not 100% sure yet. The crest which is 56 feet for the 100 year flood plan. It was originally to crest at 56.5 feet. There is an evacuation in effect for certain areas of Ft. Bend county. This is an emergency that I pray won't include us but we were badly flooded. If anyone is interested here's a video on YouTube from a Ft Bend County judge:

There's much more information but for now, I saw this video & we all (over here) need to be prepared.

Local weather says Harris county (Houston proper) received 1 Trillion gals of water in the form of rain. That is equivalent to 15 days flow over Niagra Falls, and that Harvey dropped a total of 9 Trillion gal. over the surrounding counties as a whole. Over 5 day period the official rain guage 2 miles north of me measured 51.88" or 1.32 meters.
