Harold, like you I was on hiatus. After about 7 years of SR shaving, mostly to the exclusion of other forms, I developed an itchy, barely visible rash on my neck. I'd stop shaving, it would disappear. I'd shave and it returned. I tried to hone in on the culprit by changing, one element at a time, the pre, shave and post products I was using. Nothing worked. Sought advice here but nothing helped other than not shaving. The dermatologist wanted to test for alergies but I declined and grew a beard.
I missed it, and here. Just wasn't inclined to see what I was missing.
But, not too long ago, I shaved. Then again. Voila, no itch. And I returned here, mostly to read and catch up on what I had missed. And it was plenty. New soaps, custom razors, hones, strops, shops... And, it's like riding a bike. The enthusiasm is back.

Thanked: 146I’m sure one of you fine gentlemen can tell me the original author for the quote “ and for every time there is a season.” But, anyhow, welcome back to you both!
