Thread: Shave Times

Always shaved in the morning, but my latest job gets me up earlier than usual. So I've moved to the evening. I also shaved every day. Now its every two or three, being I don't deal with customers, at work anymore. Its also a big plus, when it comes to seasonal weather.

Like a nice mentholated shave, after a hot day, or that warm lather in the scuttle, after a cold day in fall and winter. It also helps awaken the wife's senses, while curled up in a blanket, together.

I shave in the morning because if I shave in the evening I alway look rough by lunch. If I bike commute in to work I use my Maggard's slant safety razor because it is quicker - up at 4:20 AM and out the door by 4:55 AM. If I don't bike in to work it is the straight razor.

In the winter it is the scuttle on the weekend mornings. Taking my time and relaxing.

I'll typically shave in the AM before work. I wish my beard grew out a little slower so I could get away with shaving at night because I'd like to shave when my mind is a little less fuzzy.
However, on weekends I'll wait 'till I am good and awake before starting the routine. Those are the shaves that I most enjoy

Me too.

I follow the knowledge passed down in this quote:

"The man that shaves in the morning loves his job. The man that shaves at night loves his wife."

I also only give myself 20 minutes from getting out of bed and out the door. Anything more and I dilly dally until I'm even later work.

Besides, with my temperment, they don't let me interact with the customers. They're usually wrong.

So, usually Sat, Mon, Wed I shave. Rest of the week are quick showers at the gym.

I am more of an evening shaver, as I don't feel sharp enough to shave in the mornings.

I shave about three times a week. Or rather, I used to, before my three-month night-shift stint. Over the last month or so I've been barely able to squeeze in one shave a week on the weekend due to being perpetually knackered.

Is “knackered” code for drunk lol!?! Haha.

Honestly, i’m reconsidering the whole morning thing for that reason. I make a tea and coffee for the wife and I in the morning - I end up putting cream in her tea instead of my coffee more than once now. Sometimes I put coffee in her... well it’s a mess. I don’t know how I shave in the morning when most days I don’t even know how I even ended up in the bathroom!
