Sure... Montreal is only a hop, skip, and a jump outside of Ontario. The more the merrier... ...

My parents live in Richmond, Vancouver. My in-laws in Toronto. Which is a huge pain in the ass because it's kind of difficult visiting both sets of parents in a single vacation.
I lived in New Westminster, BC for a short time and worked in Richmond. My oldest brother is now in Victoria with his wife. Welcome to Canada...

Not so fast, Ken. there's the coloquialism test they have to answer first.

How should a Canadian end a sentence to get someone's attention?

What do Canadians call a flat of beer?

What is the commonly used plural of 'beer'?

What city is at the centre of the known universe?

Get through those first. The canoeing test comes later.

    [2] ummm, moose?
    [3] mooses?
    [4] Montreal

I can also canoe Canadian style. Not deliberatley you understand, but as a result of not being able to sit up straight. But it counts, right?

Sorry, Mark. That's 1 for 4, but I'm going to have to subtract a mark for displaying the incorrect plural for moose which is actually ... still 'moose'. ZERO!

You'll have to write the exam again before moving on to the practical.

    Nineteen in Sask too.

I think I know what you mean by a flat but as far as the plural for beer goes, well, I think the answer to that is 'plural beer = a good start'

Damn, and I felt sure those French Canadians thought they were the centre of the universe!

Born and raised in Hamilton. Go up to Waterloo Cambridge area all the time. I actually fly out of Waterloo-Wellingtion Airport there.
