Thanked: 9$399 is a good sale price for a TIPTLE
But yah - these new TIs are not cheap, and I don't even like the ground off stab piece. I was hoping the particular "feature" is a prototype-only thing but it looks like TI is releasing it like this To me - this blade should have either
- a flowing design / grind without any stab pieces, or
- a full stab like the good Swedes have in Helje 31 or 10 (twin or single)

Actually, the one thing I'd love to see is a return to the curved tang (where the thumb holds on in a normal grip??) I have one TI with that tang and it's very comfortable to hold.

Thanked: 9I am probably one of the biggest fans of the thumb notch / curved tang. But if you do it - do it right (=don't grind off the stabilization piece). FWIW - this Silverwing is somewhere in between - not too arched, and not straight tang. I'd love it if it were more nicely arched, with full stab (if any is necessary) and even better with jimps on the bottom of the arch (as well as on top of tang)
Cheers

I'm not familiar with some of the terminology that you are using. Would it be possible to post a picture or two to illustrate what you mean ?? More precisely, what do you mean by the terms 'stabilization piece' and 'stab' ?? And what is a 'thumb notch' ??

Ignatz, you can kinda see it here:

Oh... so is the thumb notch that ground out portion at the back of the blade where it sort of fairs into the tang (instead of hard, stepped shoulders) as I have circled in the detail cut of your picture? Or is it rather the upswept, serrated (jimped) cutout on the underside of the tang??
