    Default What kind of dispenser??

I got a bottle of Dominca Bay Rum from Classic shaving this week and just tried it for the first time - the wife likes it!!!!!

Here's the reason for my question: I was really surprised to find the bottle has a simple screw cap and a wide mouth, making it too easy to be wasteful.

Do any of you have some other type of dispenser that you use to avoid wasting these precious fluids?

I stick my thumb over the mouth of the bottle as the little tag they hang on the bottle suggests! It makes the dispensing really easy to control.

JMS, the wide mouth of the bottle is about an inch in diameter, way too big to cover with my thumb.

Eric's suggestion looks good but for the price

    Anyone else got a suggestion?

I use something similar - same thing, different manufacturer (NOTE: on the link provided, if I'm not mistaken, that price is for a box of 12) - I got mine at my local grocery store - it was on a card of 3 pourers - each one comes with a little plastic cap to cover the pour spout (this is essential to avoid/minimize evaporation)

Check your local grocery store, kitchen supply or liquor store. I'm sure you can find them reasonably priced, and they really work well in the Dominica bottles- plus, they add an 'old-timey' barbershop look to the shaving den.

    Tom,

Use a cotton ball. Apply a small amount to a cotton ball and apply the product. This will eliminate waste and allow you to apply the Bay Rum only where you want to apply it.

Thumb? I use my forefinger. There may be a different size top to my bottle, however, since it's one of the cork top bottles.
